Kylie has a deep interest in the human-animal connection, which has led her to incorporate animal-assisted interventions into her practice.

She has extensive experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapy across diverse populations. She works from a place of curiosity and empathy in helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges, emotional distress, life transitions and challenging interpersonal relationships. Her approach to therapy is collaborative with underpinnings in psychodynamic and person-centred modalities.

Her areas of Interest are:

  • Complex mood disorders (including Bipolar and Depressive disorders)
  • Personality disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorders
  • Corporate mental wellness workshops

Her clinical experience spans both psychiatric and medical hospital settings, having completed her internship at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital and community service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and working Private Practice.

Her qualifications are:

  • BA in Psychology and Criminology (Cum Laude) UP
  • BA Honours in Psychology (Cum Laude) WITS
  • BA Honours in Practical Psychometry
  • Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (Cum Laude) (UNISA)

She has also completed a professional Animal- Assisted Interventions course to deepen her expertise in this area. She believes that healing happens when we feel seen, heard, and understood, as she walks alongside you to explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your life.
