Prenita has a special interest in depth-oriented therapeutic work. Drawing from psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, and existential traditions, her practice focuses on helping clients uncover the unconscious patterns that shape emotional pain, identity development, relationships, and the search for meaning. Prenita works with children, adolescents, and adults.

She is also committed to research that advances culturally relevant psychological assessment. Prenita is the second author of an article accepted for publication in the South African Journal of Childhood Education (SAJCE) titled “Emotional Social Screening Tool for School Readiness (E3SR-R) – Revised: IsiXhosa adaptation” (Munnik, Reddi & Smith, 2025). She presented this work at the 2025 PsySSA Conference, contributing to the growing field of culturally responsive early childhood assessment. Her broader research interests include ADHD conceptualisation in multicultural contexts, clinical utility, and culturally informed diagnostic practices, and she is currently developing this line of work as the foundation of her PhD.

She is also the author of Transforming Mrs to Ms: A Woman’s Guide to Divorce, a practical guide supporting women through separation with clarity and empowerment. Her clinical training includes a diverse internship at 1 Military Hospital and a Community Service year at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital’s CAFU Child & Adolescent Unit, where she worked across inpatient, outpatient, and multidisciplinary settings. Prenita aims to move individuals toward lasting, meaningful psychological transformation.
