At times, access to child & adolescent mental health admission and acute care can be limited due to scarce facilities. This programme aims to bridge that gap by offering structured, intensive, outpatient support focused on risk management, symptom relief, & stabilisation

Assessment and Treatment Programme

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Programme is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessment and treatment pathway designed to support children, adolescents, and their families where there are concerns about emotional, behavioural, or developmental wellbeing.

This programme offers an in depth and integrative approach to understanding a young person’s mental health, providing both short term intensive input and recommendations for longer term care where clinically indicated.

Programme Approach

The programme is designed to be structured and intensive, allowing for a thorough understanding of the young person’s internal experiences, emotional needs, and behavioural presentation. Intervention is individualised, taking into account developmental stage, family context, and presenting concerns.

Upon completion of the programme, recommendations for ongoing or longer-term care will be discussed to ensure continuity of support.

Who the Programme is For

This programme is suitable for children and adolescents where parents, caregivers, or referring professionals may be curious or concerned about the young person’s mental health, emotional wellbeing, or behaviour. A formal diagnosis is not required to enter the programme.

The programme is for young people who are struggling with:

  • Social & emotional regulation difficulties
  • Behavioural challenges & aggression
  • Self-harm & sucidal ideation
  • Communication difficulties, including children who are non verbal
  • Neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD)
  • Severe anxiety
  • Persistent low mood
  • Eating disorders
  • Relational difficulties with peers, family, or caregivers
  • Other complex mental health challenges during childhood & adolescence
